Call for Workshop Proposals
9th International Conference on Wireless and Satellite Systems
JULY 24 - 25, 2017 | OXFORD, GREAT BRITAIN
Proposals for half or full day workshops are invited for consideration for the 9th International Conference on Wireless and Satellite Systems (WiSATS) 2017. The purpose of these workshops is to provide a platform for presenting original and fundamental advances in the field of Wireless and Satellite Systems. Workshops should be focused on an active and current research topic and be aligned with the technical scope of the conference. Workshops are a great opportunity for community building and provide a forum for attendees with common interests. They also offer a good opportunity for young researchers to present their work and to obtain feedback from an interested community. For more information about the conference, see: www.psats.eu
Proposals should be prepared as a single document of no more than 3 pages in 12pt font. One page must be a draft call for papers. Proposals should include: workshop title; summary of the workshop topic and scope; rationale and objectives for the workshop; organisers details and biographies; planned length of the workshop; estimate of expected attendance; plans for publicising the workshop; details and statistics of any previously organised workshops; draft call for papers.
Workshop Organiser Responsibilities
Workshop organisers will be expected to: produce a call for papers; publicise the workshop as widely as possible; produce documentation about the workshop for the WiSATS conference website; work closely with the WiSATS Organising Committee to assist with all aspects of workshop organisation including the review process, formation of the programme, publication of papers in the proceedings; to run the workshop.
Accepted papers will be published in Springer's LNICST series and will appear in the SpringerLink, one of the largest digital libraries online that covers a variety of scientific disciplines. The proceedings are submitted for inclusion to the leading indexing services: DBLP, Google Scholar, Thomson Scientific ISI Proceedings, EI Elsevier Engineering Index, CrossRef, Scopus, as well as EAI's own EU Digital Library (EUDL).
Authors of the best papers will be recommended to submit an extended version to EAI Endorsed Transactions on Future Internet (formerly Ubiquitous Environments) or in other journals planned.
